„I root for them, even though I understand why some people think they can’t be together.“

Obviously there are reasons for Jo to be really private about this, but it’s not like it’s something she’s done wrong. Why is she so afraid to tell Alex?
Actually, right after the table read, I called the writers as I was driving home. It was swimming in my head and I had so many questions about it. I wondered why she hadn’t told Alex. They described it to me as — so, this person [that Jo is married to] was super charismatic, everyone loved him, and he’s beyond manipulative and beyond dangerous. She felt like her life was in danger when she left him and changed her identity so he couldn’t find her. He’s the type of person where if he did find her, whoever she’s with would also be in danger. And I think what she thought might happen with Alex is if she told him, he would have some sort of knee-jerk reaction and try to go after him or find him, in a way to protect her, but maybe not in the safest way to handle the situation. Then seeing Alex assault Andrew demonstrated that, in the heat of the moment, Alex can make really bad decisions.

You and Justin have been working pretty closely together for most of your time on the show.
Yeah. On a show like Grey’s Anatomy, when you shoot 10 months a year, 24 episodes, it’s hard not to get invested in your onscreen relationship. And so when we get to set, those [argument] scenes end up being really painful to film. There are a lot of times where at the end of a scene, we’re hugging and saying, „When are we getting back together? Please, please!“ We feel that way, but the interesting thing about Grey’s Anatomy is that it almost feels like the relationships are a game of chess. You can be picked up where you feel safe and put somewhere else. You have to be ready for your TV life to be in turmoil at any point. I love working with Justin. We’re both so invested in this relationship … Sometimes it’s difficult, though, because he’s the one person on set who makes me laugh in my scenes. I feel so bad for the crew sometimes, because I can get the giggles just looking at him. It’s not very professional.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star Ellen Pompeo Reveals How Far Meredith Will Go to Defend Alex

Here is an interview from Ellen Pompeo with „USMagazine„:

“I think as long as it’s within the law,“ Pompeo says with a laugh. „Alex is her ride-or-die.“

The actress points out that Meredith comes close to threatening DeLuca on the Thursday, September 29, episode, but that the Grey-Sloan Memorial chief of general surgery and board director calms down before doing anything she’ll regret.

„Meredith has to pull it back,” Pompeo says. “She took that step toward possibly threatening, and then got her hand slapped by Dr. Bailey, and she doesn’t want to make anything worse for Alex, so she’s had to rein it in. She owns the hospital — she doesn’t need a lawsuit.”

Even if Alex avoids a lengthy jail sentence, he still has to deal with the fallout with Jo (Camilla Luddington), especially since his fight with DeLuca was unwarranted. To complicate matters even further, Jo is still married to her abusive husband and hasn’t broken the news to Alex.

“Obviously, [he’s] going to find out why can’t marry him,” Chambers continued. “I don’t know where that takes them from there, but he’s hurt, and he’s angry, and he’s wrong, but he’s also right.”

Can Alex and Jo move past this?
“On this show, anything’s possible. Anything,” Chambers added. “I think [Alex is] angry, very angry, and hurt. Hurt’s usually always under anger. So hurt, very, very hurt.”

Here is a short part from an Interview Justin gave EW to read the rest pls visit:

Alex’s fate still hangs in the balance after he beat DeLuca within an inch of his life, but the professional consequences began to mount during Thursday’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy.

“I think an interesting story’s going to happen there,” he says, noting that he hopes the storyline will provide an opportunity for Alex to work more with his former mentor Arizona (Jessica Capshaw), who is slated to return to the show next week. “Maybe there’s something that he can pull Arizona into at the clinic, something that’s important in pediatrics,” he says. “We’ll see.”

Justin is talking about Alex future! And is the 13th season the last one?

Alex is really in trouble at the moment, so Justin talks about Alex future:

„I don’t know how that affects his medical license,“ Justin Chambers, who plays Alex, told Entertainment Weekly. „I don’t know, but he’s… got to find redemption.“

So, we will see what happen in the next episodes of Grey´s Anatomy.

The next big question of the last few weeks: Is this 13th season the last one? We know we´ll see many „old“ stars from Grey´s Anatomy in this season, so everything looks like that this is the big „Time to say good bye – Season“. Now Ellen Pompeo gave an interview and was talking about this.

„We’re blessed to be able to go on this long. As long as the show is successful, and Shonda and I and the cast are having fun, I think that will be a decision that Shonda and I come to,“ Pompeo told The Hollywood Reporter. „Obviously the network and the studio will have some say. There’s no talk of going away with numbers like this. As long as the show’s a success — I mean, it’s so fun! It’s such rarified air.“
